Slope vs Grade - What is the difference?

A Slope Laser has buttons to allow the user to tilt the laser to an angle, however there is no display showing what the angle is. This is ideal for creating slopes where the actual angle does not matter (ie. water run-off on a driveway or pad). When the laser is powered off and on, they will typically revert back to level, and the slope will be lost.

Grade Laser allows the user to enter a precise grade using the keypad. The laser will then tilt to that grade and the grade will be displayed on the laser's keypad screen.
Some models allow single axis grade to be set (single grade) and others allow a seperate grade on the X and the Y axis (dual grade).

Single Grade vs Dual Grade

Single grade lasers allow you to tilt the laser beam on one axis (either up or down). Dual grade allows you to tilt the laser beam independently on both the X and Y axis at the same time, to allow for main slope and cross fall in one setup.
