The Core W12 Soil Impact Tester is a quick, non-invasive device used to verify uniform soil compaction across large job sites. The Core W12 Soil Impact Tester can identify poorly compacted areas, allowing ground work issues to be remedied as they arise, preventing costly rework. Applications include pavement overlays, subgrades, earthworks or trench reinstatement after pipe or cable excavation. 

The Core W12 Soil Impact Tester works by dropping a hammer (or drop weight) onto the ground surface. An electronic sensor inside the hammer measures the deceleration upon impact and displays the result as a two-digit impact value (IV). This Impact Value can then be used to assess the ground’s strength and the material’s suitability for construction applications. 

Includes a ruggedised transport case and an industry leading 24 month warranty.
