Used in conjunction with a signal generator, the C.Scope Flexible Tracer is highly effective at locating and tracing the route of small diameter, non-metallic ducts, pipes, sewers and drains.
The C.Scope YIRRFT80 80m Flexible Pipe Tracer is a flexible cable which has been designed for both line tracing and end tracing on thin, non-metallic ducts, pipes, sewers and drains. The ability to perform both line and end tracing is very useful as it allows pre-excavation inspections in addition to finding blockages or obstacles within the pipe itself. The 5mm diameter is suitable even for the thinnest pipes and the 10cm bend radius means it can be used on intricate systems.
The integral copper wires in the C.Scope YIRRFT80 are optimised for transmitting a 33kHz signal when used with any C.Scope Cable Locator and Signal Generator. The tracer can be energised along its entire length for line tracing or solely at the end where a tiny integrated sonde can emit a stronger signal that penetrates up to 4m. This can be used for finding obstructions in plastic pipes and also permits depth measurement with suitable locators.
Several practical features make the C.Scope YIRRFT80 easy to use. It has a solid steel frame which turns on its axel to unravel the tracing rod as well as a slip ring on the axel which allows the Signal Generator to stay attached to the tracer whilst it is being fed into an underground conduit. The tracer rod and tip have sturdy fibreglass cladding with an IP rating of 68 to withstand challenging conditions in any pipe or duct system.
