The Manhole Cover Lifter makes the job of lifting the cover off a manhole or pit much easier. Simply place the lifting eye in the lid slot, lever down on the lifting bar and lift the lid up, saving your back from excess stress. Folding design allows for easy storage, making it ideal for engineers, consultants, etc.
This tool is designed for the foot of the lifter to be placed on the frame of the manhole, rather than the concrete surround. If used as designed, this significantly reduces the risk of damage to the surround by placing pressure only on the metal rim of the manhole.
