Made of high quality, light weight, strong and durable fibreglass, this fully insulated 8m hight pole has a sliding tape measure inside that passes by an index window. This makes it so easy to use, as you don't even need to pull out the sections in sequence, the tape is simply reading the height difference between the top of the pole and the base. There is a sturdy metal flip-up hook on the top, to allow for measuring to the top of a cable or ledge, or leave the hook folded down to measure internal heights. Comes in a bright orange carry bag for protection and visibility.

Senshin 8m height pole

This product fell short of my expectations in that the extendable poles will only lock when fully extended. They will not lock in between, ie: you cannot set the poles at a particular height in order to make multiple measurements at the same height. Other tools I use (eg: laser poles) are able to do this.

Apart from this issue the height pole is a useful tool

Thank you for the feedback. As you pointed out, you fully extend each section (starting from the top) to lock that section, then the last moving section provides the final height reading. This pole is designed for measuring heights, not for setting out heights as it cannot be locked to a specific height. - KS
